miles from The Highland Club

Fort Augustus Heritage Trail
Start at The Pepperpot Lighthouse at the start of the canal by The Boathouse restaurant.
The walk is flat and should take approximately one hour at a leisurely pace, although we think you should take your time and relax in our beautiful surroundings.

Great Glen Adventures
A highland experience for all the family. Great Glen Adventures offers guided walks, rock climbing & abseiling adventures. In addition, they have a mobile climbing wall, mobile Archery kit and Walk on Water Balls (WoW).

Their guided walks can be for a full day or a half day anywhere in the Highlands. There are regular guided trips to the summit of Ben Nevis. You can either join one of their scheduled departures or hire a private guide for the day. The guides are not ‘racing snakes’ but are people who have a love for the mountains and wish to share the environment with you.
