Join the 2026 Loch Ness Quest – an unforgettable adventure into the mysteries of Loch Ness

Prepare for four days of exploration, discovery, and debate. The Quest  brings together curious minds, monster hunters, and scientific explorers from around the world, all united by one legendary question: what lies beneath Loch Ness? Get involved in immersive events, uncover new clues, challenge existing theories, and dive deep into the secrets of Scotland’s most mysterious loch. The hunt continues – will you be part of it?

Thursday 28th May Welcome Drinks at the Loch Ness Inn From 7 pm

Join us for an informal welcome evening at the Loch Ness Inn. Meet members of the Loch Ness Exploration team from 7pm


Friday 29th May Below The Surface

On Friday we will be working with Craig Wallace of Deep Sea Vision who will be sending their autonomous underwater vehicle Micro Millie to map the hidden depths of Urquhart Bay. — an area of particular interest due to its varied underwater landscape, proximity to Urquhart Castle, and reputation as a recent hotspot for reported sightings. By deploying the autonomous submarine in this location, the team aims to gather new data that will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the loch’s underwater environment

This is not a public event but we will be sharing our findings with you


Friday 29th May Listen to the Loch 2pm and 3pm

Join Alan Mckenna of Loch Ness Exploration on our hydrophone cruise to hear what lies beneath the surface of Loch Ness in the special event aboard Deepscan. 


Friday 29th May Legends of the Loch 6.30pm

Join our talented story teller Jenny Johnstone as she weaves tales around the mysteries and folklore of  Loch Ness. 


Sat 30th Surface Watch 10am to 5pm

Become a Nessie Hunter for the day as we invite you to join the Loch Ness Exploration Team on our surface watch anytime from 10am to 5pm.  


Sat 30th May - The Big Debate - Nessie or Nonsense - 6.30pm to 8.30pm

This lively and thought-provoking evening brings together a panel of knowledgeable voices, each offering their own perspective on the legend of the Loch Ness Monster
