Mike Sardina is a Vietnam veteran and mechanic performing covers on stages across 1980s Midwest America, dreaming of something big. He meets Claire Cartwright, a hairdresser and fellow covers performer with similar ambitions. While neither is a songwriter, they both revel in entertaining audiences, and form Lightning and Thunder, a Neil Diamond tribute experience.

Through their close collaboration, the professional becomes personal when Mike and Claire fall in love and marry. As they enthral crowds as Lightning and Thunder, their popularity grows bigger and bigger, and soon they’re opening for renowned, established bands. But as their musical journey progresses, trials arise that will test them both on and off the stage.

Based on a true story, Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson form strong on-screen chemistry in this uplifting musical biopic about following your dreams.

We’re delighted to be able to put on special preview screenings of this drama before it goes on general release.

Former best friends and roommates Chris and Lluis meet up to walk the West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail. Having made the 350-mile walk in their youth, they hope that walking amongst the majestic beauty of the Highlands will rekindle their once-strong friendship.

But Chris is preoccupied with his work and life back home, while Lluis is more interested in proving he can still complete the trail. Amidst the sweeping landscapes, harsh weather, and encounters with other hikers, the silence of the trek forces the pair to confront truths about themselves and their friendship.

Shot on location, this drama is the definitive hiking film, and a poignant and beautiful ode to friendship and the healing power of nature.
