About the event
The Loch Ness Classic and Vintage Car Tour, inaugurated in 2017 with remarkable success and to the enjoyment of the participants, is a non-competitive touring event, restricted to entries from classic and vintage car owners and also cars of a sporting nature. The entry will be restricted to a maximum of 65 vehicles with the excess being put on a waiting list. The Tour is being organised on behalf of the Rotary Club of Inverness Loch Ness to raise funds, to be split in 2024, between the principal charities CHAS-Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (registered Scottish Charity number SC019724) and Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes (registered Scottish Charity number SC049345), and the remaining one third of monies raised to the Charity Account of the Club which supports local, national and international deserving causes.
There is No Entry Fee !! However, in addition to enjoying a fun filled day driving through beautiful Highland scenery, entrants are requested to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship from family, friends and business colleagues. Two thirds of all monies raised for the 2024 Tour will be split between CHAS-Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (registered Scottish Charity number SC019724) and Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes (registered Scottish Charity number SC049345) with the remainder going to local, national and international deserving causes supported by the Rotary Club of Inverness Loch Ness (see attached Regulations for details). Completed entry forms must be received by 31st May 2024 at latest to the address on the Entry Form. All entrants must be able to demonstrate insurance cover valid for the event and for breakdown recovery as well as holding a valid driving licence. THE DRIVE OF THE HIGHLANDSThe Tour organisers are seasoned motorsport enthusiasts with considerable knowledge of both organising and running motor events and as participants themselves in Classic Car Tours, have first hand experience of what is required for a successful Tour.
