About the event
Kessock Ferry Swim
Run in partnership with the local community in Merkinch, the historic Kessock Ferry Swim is our main annual fundraising event. Our event follows the classic route - approximately 1200m out-and-back across the tidal narrows between South Kessock and North Kessock.
- 1200m swim across the iconic tidal narrows of the old ferry route between South & North Kessock, with easy entry & exit from the old pier
- All proceeds to local charities
- An Invernessian tradition dating back to 1946
- Non-competitive event supporting the local community in Merkinch & South Kessock
