Itinerary

  1. Check-In at Loch Ness Hub – Arrive in Drumnadrochit and check in with our friendly team at Loch Ness Hub.

  2. Short Van Transfer – Enjoy a scenic 5-minute drive with your local hosts up to the family-run working croft.

  3. Meet the Highland Coos – Get up close and personal with the iconic Highland Coo cows, famous for their long, curly hair and impressive horns.

  4. Feeding & Interaction – Hand-feed, pet, and photograph the gentle cows while learning about croft life from the local family.

  5. Croft & Scenic Views – Take in breathtaking panoramic views of Loch Ness and historic Urquhart Castle.

  6. Return to Loch Ness Hub – Conclude your authentic Highland experience with a short van ride back to Drumnadrochit.

What to bring

When joining our Highland Coo Tour, please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear for a working croft. The tour takes place entirely outdoors, and ground conditions can be uneven or muddy—especially during rainy or winter weather. Appropriate attire will help keep you comfortable and safe while you enjoy your time with our friendly Highland Coos!

Restrictions

Unsuitable for wheelchairs & those with significantly restricted mobility.

Dogs are not allowed on the tour, due to safety regulations.

Particularly during the winter months, or in periods of wet weather, the Croft will be muddy. Please ensure you wear suitable footwear such as wellies or walking boots.
