Boating Dramas at The Highland Club
One of our favorite owners at The Highland Club, Arthur Jamieson, unfortunately had a lochside mishap when his motor boat ran aground during some inclement weather recently. The incident eventually involved an RNLI rescue and a video eventually reached the Press and Journal website. Thankfully no one was hurt. We asked Arthur if we could post the article on the blog and being the good sport that he is said ‘yes!’.
The video can be seen here.
Of course a big thanks to the versatile Highland Club staff who managed to get the damaged boat onto the slipway from the canalside location (where it had been taken by the RNLI crew) and then tow it back to The Highland Club for a closer inspection. We hope that the damage wasn’t too severe, Arthur, and look forward to seeing you out and about on the loch again soon!
