Sailing on Loch Ness

At the Southern tip of Loch Ness

The Highland Club enables you to buy a second home in one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas. From here the opportunities are limitless. Walking, cycling, golf, sailing, fishing, shooting, falconry, skiing, bird watching; the list is as long as it is varied.

But not every weekend has to focus on the great outdoors. The Highland Club itself is now the centre for more leisurely pursuits. The Boathouse Restaurant is a splendid place to meet, eat and while away some time with friends. On a summer afternoon what could be nicer than a gentle game of croquet on the cloistered lawn?

Days of marathon walks and clear highland air are rewarded with relaxation and good conversation. Look forward to mellow evenings in your apartment or in the elegant Club Lounge, sharing the day’s stories and planning the next day’s exploration.

Highland Club Lounge

The perfect space to unwind

Transformed into the sumptuous Club Lounge, the former Monks' Refectory is now the social heart of the Highland Club. With its original oak-panelled walls and decorative stained glass windows the lounge is traditionally furnished and includes a snooker table. Where better to catch up with friends old and new, swap anecdotes and put the world to rights?

The privacy of your own health club

Part of the original chapel will incorporate an indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna where residents will be able to enjoy the privacy of their own spa - literally on their doorstep.

Relaxation or exercise, the choice is yours

A wealth of country pursuits are on hand and, in season, The Highland Club can organise a choice of field sports including rough (walked-up) game shooting, clay pigeon shooting, river or loch fishing and stalking, all under the expert guidance of local ghillies and stalkers.

Fishing at Loch Ness

In addition there are numerous sports facilities available on site including tennis, football, cricket, snooker, croquet, table tennis, table football, boules, outdoor ten pin bowling, giant chess and 9-hole putting green*

Many of Scotland's famous golf courses are easily accessible from The Highland Club including the links courses at Nairn and Royal Dornoch.

Cyclists and walkers can enjoy breathtaking views along the Great Glen Way and Cycle Route through Glen Mor and along the northwest shores of Loch Lochy and Loch Ness, following the course of the Caledonian Canal.

Explore the Highlands

More leisurely pursuits could include a visit to one of the many historic castles or gardens in the vicinity, one of the famous woollen mills or a distillery - there is always something to do or somewhere new to explore.
